Revelations 1:1-3
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
Beloved,
Once Jesus Christ is revealed to you, there is no way you can continue to approach Him the same way. As our opening scripture indicates, the revelation of Christ comes to us when we are rightly positioned as His stewards. Many people will not outright deny Christ’s existence; but despite access to the word of God, there are many people, Christians included, who remain ignorant concerning the kingdom and glory of Christ and what this means for them. Such people may acknowledge Jesus as Savior, but they have to have the revelation that will help them accept Him as Lord. Some declare Him Lord and Savior, but because they lack genuine revelation, they are carrying unnecessary burdens and habits that indicate ignorance where they ought to display glory and added advantage.
There is no way we can enjoy and engage life optimally without revelation of the added advantages of making Christ both Savior and Lord over our lives. He is our advantage on both sides of eternity. If you do not have the correct revelation of Him, there is no way He can be revealed in you. What a shame this would be. Christ revelation in you starts with you studying and meditating on God’s word, since that is who Christ is. It also comes with doing His work.
Revelation moves us from religion to spiritual experiences. As you go through this series of unpacking the power and privilege of revelation, and as you apply it, your engagement and experiences will go from strength to strength and from glory to glory in Jesus’ name.
I commit you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
