Revelations 1:1-3
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
Beloved,
What do you know about Christ? That you heard about Him all your life or that you consider yourself a Christian does not mean that you’ve had a revelation of Him. Once you’ve had a revelation of Him, then you must be ready to know even more about Him. The experiences you have in life and your responses will show just how much you know about Him. God is multi-breasted and multi-dimensional. In this edition we will look at some dimensions of revelation we must catch about Jesus.
The first we will unpack is the dynamics of the personality of Christ. The more you understand about His personality, the more you will give Him glory. He bears the personality of His Father. The Bible says
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 16:16-17, NKJV.
You must also have a revelation of the work of Christ. Jesus came to the earth to save and disciple. He came to declare His kingdom and demonstrate its benefits, its power, and it’s inevitably. On earth, He healed, set free, and delivered. His work did not end at the cross and you must have this revelation or your relationship with Him and the benefits thereof will be limited. He is still at work for us and in us who will to do His pleasure (Philippians 2:13). He is in heaven, still working on our behalf. Romans 8:34 says,
… It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Romans 8:34
All these works and more He has done that you might enjoy revelation knowledge of Him and choose Him as both Savior and Lord over your life and reign with Him for ever.
You must also have a revelation of who you are in Christ Jesus. Galatians 1:11-12 says,
But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:11-12 , NKJV.
There is no way you will ever truly know yourself until you know yourself in destiny. There is no way you will have a true revelation of yourself until you have a revelation of Christ and He is revealed in your life.
In our next edition, we will talk about how we can catch such a revelation of Jesus Christ and ourselves in Him.
I commit you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
