Revelations 1:1-3
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
Beloved,
I want to round of this portion of the series by talking about you. That’s right, you. A major resultant effect of having a true revelation of Jesus Christ is that you will begin to commune with Him in a manner that ultimately leads to Him revealing yourself to you. You knowing that you are who God says you are and not what the world says or what you bank account says is a major indicator that you have truly come into the revelation knowledge of Christ.
When Christ is revealed in your life, you are a new creation. Whatever you thought of yourself before will change. You will think of Christ in all His glory and what He has said concerning you. You will think of what you have come to know about Christ over time and what it means for you. This is one of the greatest benefits of having Christ revealed in your life.
You will learn that you’re an heir to an unshakeable kingdom. The Bible says,
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Romans 8:17, NIV
When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Colossians 3:4
When Christ is truly revealed in your life, you become “a man of the future”. You gain access and experiences that make you ready and fitted for what is to come (Psalm 139:9).
As Jesus is the gateway to the Father, you too become a gate and a gateman for your own life! Nothing can enter your life without your permission, not sickness or poverty or any unauthorized demon (Genesis 45:7).
Take time to reflect on these. Are you fully enjoying the benefits of Christ revelation in your life? Confess who you are in Christ over your life. Get into His word, especially His word concerning you. Be sure you are moving, walking, working, and totally surrendered to Him.
We will take a break from this series for a bit so you have time to reflect and soak it in and I’ll introduce you to another series. Get ready.
I commit you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you NATIONS. I call you blessed.
