Mountains That Must Surround Your Life VI
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
Psalm 125:1-3, NKJV
Beloved,
Back in the day, Jerusalem was a fortified city in the midst of the mountain range of the Judae hills. Thus, it was not accessible by water or ship. And it was not an easy climb. This put the Jewish people at a great advantage because it made it more difficult to conquer the city. God has designed life for us in such a way that all you have to do is surrender your life to Him, and by default, you are safe. Your victory is sure. All that is required of you is to walk by faith and with assurance that what God has said concerning you is the truth, not what circumstances or the devil has spoken. He has made you like a city that is set on a hill (Matthew 5:14). Not only can every one see you, they can see How God protects and preserves you. They can see you, yes, but no undesirable flow can just come through anyhow. You only need to stay in His presence and be mindful not to open your gates to any flow that God has not ordained for your life.
Beloved trust in the Lord. Do not put your trust in your own understanding.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV
He keeps you safe. He helps you to take every step in the right direction. He gives you everything you need for both the fulfillment and preservation of your destiny.
Let’s review all of the mountains He has established to go to work especially for you:
- – The mountain of favor
- The mountain of your destiny team
The mountain of integrity + upright living - The mountain of covenant promises
- The mountain of faith
- The mountain of wisdom
- The mountain of fear of the Lord
With all of these mountains in place for you, you have nothing to worry about and every reason to trust God even more. As we round up this series, I want to remind you of just how special you are to God. He designed a destiny especially for you and He has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill it. You only need to trust Him and keep your self firmly established in His word and presence. And watch Him as He orders your steps and keeps you surrounded with His perfect peace and glorious presence.
