The Gift of The Holy Spirit
John 14:15-17, NKJV
If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Beloved,
Knowing God is good, having Jesus as Savior is better, but the ultimate goal is to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Your relationship with God, the Father and God, the Son will be greatly developed as you develop your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the promise of the Father and the greatest gift of Jesus to believers, after salvation. The new testament church started at the arrival of the Holy Spirit. He is the empowerment for kingdom and life assignment, Luke 24:48-49.
No one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 12:3. He is freely given to every believer at new birth but how He will manifest in each person will be different depending on the fellowship and relationship cultivated with Him. The Holy Spirit is the seal of believers, Ephesians 4:30. He seals your heart against sin, He keeps you until the coming of the Lord and having Him guarantees eternal life. Scripture says
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
2 Peter 1:2-3 NKJV
It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit that we can access and enjoy all things that pertain to life and godliness. To enjoy the Holy Spirit, it is essential to build a relationship with Him and consult Him over every matter. Beloved, the Holy Spirit is a gift to every believer. Develop your relationship with Him and watch how your life will transform into a wonder.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
