Enjoy Your Life
Ecclesiastes 9:8-9, NKJV
Let your garments always be white, and let your head lack no oil. Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun.
Beloved,
You must learn to consciously celebrate. The weight of responsibilities and the demands of life can be so much that, if you are not careful, you don’t see the need to celebrate. God designed life to be enjoyed. We were created for God’s pleasure (Revelation 4:11), and your misery does not bring pleasure to God.
No matter how hard you are trying, there will always be something to fix in life. The people who have a happy and a sunny disposition also face life’s pressures and challenges, but they have made a personal decision not to allow those experiences to define them.
For us children of God, a covenant we enjoy is that there is a solution waiting before the problem comes. So, there is always a way to smile through the challenges of life. Many times we are so eager to arrive at the destination that we neglect the journey or the process that gets us there.
Choose not to live in misery as you go through life’s journey, rather choose to enjoy the process. The Bible tells us to rejoice, and repeatedly too for emphasis. Satan is the one who distributes sorrow and moodiness; don’t accept his offer.
This charge is not for you to be frivolous; it is to put the right balance to living life. Could it be that in your bid to make others happy, you are neglecting your own life and comfort?
1 Peter 3:10-12 shows us the things you must do if you want to live life and see good days.
- See beauty in life and in all that is around you.
- Your decisions will influence your enjoyment of life.
- You will enjoy life if the Lord is in charge of your life.
- Stop speaking against yourself.
- Don’t get into deception.
- Seek peace and pursue it.
It doesn’t have to be expensive to enjoy life, so pursue what brings satisfaction and fulfillment to you, Ecclesiastes 3:12 (CEV).
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
