Psalm 89:20 NKJV
I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
Beloved
Anointing is a force given to a man by God to gain supernatural results on the earth. Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God; the anointing is the power side of the kingdom. It is the function of the Holy Spirit that makes you do what Jesus would have done if He were to be in your stead. The anointing is not the Holy Spirit; rather, it is the enablement the Holy Spirit gives.
God works from your future into your today while the devil works from your past into your today. God knew that later in the life of David, a day would come where he would have to face Goliath and only the anointing could kill this giant. This was why God sent the prophet to anoint him. One of the things you owe yourself is to keep the oil fresh. This is because the battle and opportunities in your next level will always come unannounced. Therefore, live ready. Live by the following scripture:
Ecclesiastes 9:8 NKJV
Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil.
Your can only be effective when you function in the anointing; this is why the devil makes it a point to always take you out of that spiritual habitat. The least you can do is to keep your oil fresh. Keep doing what brought the anointing to you. Don’t let the devil take you to a place where you go from using your shoulders to carry the ark to using the cart.
Beloved, the anointing is an enablement of the Holy Spirit that gives you an unfair but righteous advantage on the earth. It is a force that compels nature and life to respond to you. A man can only go so far with his intelligence; with the anointing, a man can go much farther.
