John 14:15 NKJV
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Beloved,
Let us take a look at something Jesus passionately expressed in the gospel of Luke:
Luke 6:46 NKJV
“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
What Jesus is saying here is that you don’t say ‘no’ to who you call Lord. You don’t disobey your Lord. Disobedience is as bad as witchcraft. And being unyielding to the promptings of the Holy Spirit is idolatry,1 Samuel 15:23.
The Father loves you in abundance and He has only the best plans for you. You only need to receive His love and obey His instructions to enjoy and become all He has for you. It is ignorance, lack of revelation, and pride that keep a man who claims to be a believer in Christ Jesus walking in disobedience. The Bible says this:
John 14:14-16 NKJV
If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
You have all you can ever want in Christ. Let a revelation of Christ’s love for you compel you to obey Him. There is no way you can say you love Him and not follow His divine command.
Occasionally, believers slip into disobedience. If you do, return, repent and re-align. Yield to the voice of the Helper and get back on track. Know though that a believer does not disobey or sin habitually. The Bible says,
1 John 3:9 TPT
Everyone who is truly God’s child will refuse to keep sinning because God’s seed remains within him, and he is unable to continue sinning because he has been fathered by God himself.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
