Amos 4:12, AMPC
Therefore, thus will I do to you, O Israel; and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel!
Beloved,
Strategic Positioning Prayer Summit (SPPS) is an annual event in the calendar of Kingdom Pathway Church. This is a period of 30 days (Phase I and II of 15 days each), when we gather as a church to commit the coming year into God’s hands and to pray ahead of each day of the new year.
God has purposed in His mind what He will do in this season of SPPS, but He wants us to prepare our hearts to meet him. If we don’t prepare, we won’t obtain all that He has in mind for us. The preparation that we put in place shows how much we desire to see and receive from Him. God is always faithful to do His part, but we also have to do our part to receive of Him. Here are some steps to take in preparing:
- Minimize activities to legitimate ones. Go to work, attend to your studies, have a fulfilling family life, do your chores and duties. But in all these, concentrate your efforts and attention on God.
- Practice meditative prayers. This is a season where God through His servants will begin to open your eyes to future possibilities and potentials. You can literally envision how you want the coming days to be for you, and as you pray, you begin to program those possibilities to become your reality.
- Get and keep a journal that will detail God’s instructions to you. Examine this regularly (monthly, quarterly, etc.) to track your progress and compliance. Remember that in this kingdom, our safety and progress is tied to our obedience to instructions.
- Run away from sin and other pollutants. Keep your mind healthy and free from distractions as much as you possibly can. This is why it is encouraged that you fast in this season. Fasting changes us; it makes us sensitive to receive from God. Put away from you things that will keep your mind and heart away from God, give attention to the study of scriptures and pray over the prayer points that is raised over and over again.
- Sow the seed of honor. However God is communicating to you to show honor, do it prayerfully and promptly. Tie this seed to your future expectations; sow it, and watch God step into your life to turn things around for you.
- Expect God to speak to you in the language you understand. In a church meeting, God comes for everyone, but each one will receive a spiritual nutrition and provision tailored to their individual needs. This is why it is called a feast or banquet. In a feast, some will enjoy a particular item more than others. Look out for your word and receive the grace to manifest it in reality.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
