1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV
Pray without ceasing.
Beloved,
Prayer is a system of communication between man and divinity. It is also a system of authorization. Through prayer, we legislate; by set laws and decrees, enforce them, and execute judgment against every disobedience, 1 Corinthians 2:15-16. This means that it is in the place of prayer that we determine how things must be. We change both the course and effect of things as we pray.
We also pray so we don’t enter into temptation, Matthew 26:41. Some temptations come in their original form and are easily identifiable. However, some come in disguise, it is when you get deeply involved that you discover that you’ve been trapped. But when you pray, the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to see that temptation for what it is, a snare of the enemy. Then, you are empowered to avoid it.
Prayer is a means to make a choice that determines the outcome of the future. Jabez had a reality that was negative and embarrassing. But he prayed for God to give him another kind of outcome in life, a more positive one, and God answered. Scriptures says he became more honorable than his brethren because he changed his outcome in life through the weapon of prayer.
Lack of prayer is a form of pride and a sign of spiritual sickness. Today’s lack of prayer is victory lost tomorrow. Whatever makes you to ignore or miss praying is your archenemy; it is setting you up to become a cheap prey for the enemy to consume.
Beloved, prayer fine-tunes your spirit to align with the Holy Spirit to download information from the spirit realm to the earth realm. You cannot pray too much. If you don’t want your Christian experience to be a mirage, you must invest in quality prayer. So much that when men see you out in the open, they must see the results that backs up your claim that you’ve been with God in the secret place.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
