DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Proverbs 4:18 NKJV
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Beloved,
Still on the topic of the believers’ journey and what can hinder it; distraction and inconsistency are major contributors to stifled progress in life. The inability to demonstrate persistence or follow through on a journey is common among believers. In my church, we have have a covenant declaration about starting and finishing in time. We also have one about continuing.

Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬ NKJV‬‬
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Let God Almighty be Author and Finisher of your faith. Let His Holy Spirit give you grace to continue taking every step in the right direction.

Excitement is a good companion to have with you on your path to destiny fulfillment. It can do so many things for you, such as supply you with the motivation you need to get started or even to keep going. As helpful as excitement can be, the hard truth is, it will not always be with you on life’s journey. You will need to find, either within or externally, the motivation and discipline needed to push through, especially when life’s challenges and obstacles begin to surface. God encourages us to let Him and His love be our motivation. He is love and He never leaves us stranded. When filed with His righteous love, we can have the compassion and passion to do things in service of Him and for His children while keeping His great and precious promises in mind.

Beloved, if you will do well in life, you need God. Let Him, His plans, and His promises light a fire under you that cannot be put out by the cares and affairs of this life.

Romans 12:11 ESV
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
