Luke 17:17-19 MSG
Jesus said, “Were not ten healed? Where are the nine? Can none be found to come back and give glory to God except this outsider?” Then he said to him, “Get up. On your way. Your faith has healed and saved you.”
Beloved,
We will conclude our discussion on gratitude looking at some more pointers on how to appropriately show gratitude.
- Express your heart of gratitude with words, making mention of the specific things done for you and how the benevolence has been a blessing to you. This is very important. Don’t say, “God sees my heart that I’m grateful.” That is a wrong mindset that is making men to be ungrateful to man as well as God. Express your heart with words.
- As applicable, judiciously use what was given to you. Every gift received costs the giver something. Don’t be heartless in handling the gift received.
- Let the expression of your gratitude be commensurate to the gift received, and the heart of your gratitude.
Finally,
Let me round off with the counsel of my father in destiny, Rev. Olusola Areogun. It says “Never let it be said of you that you are an ingrate.” Never let people have an opinion of you as an ingrate, because an ingrate is the one who by his hands closes the door of favor against himself.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
