Luke 17:17-19 MSG
Jesus said, “Were not ten healed? Where are the nine? Can none be found to come back and give glory to God except this outsider?” Then he said to him, “Get up. On your way. Your faith has healed and saved you.”
Beloved,
We started yesterday by highlighting the importance of gratitude. We must not be ingrates! Every act of kindness requires an expression gratitude commensurate with the benevolence received. Today, I want to share with you some pointers that will help you to always appropriately show gratitude and to keep enjoying the kindness of men.
- You must know that usually, men are the channels through which God gets what you ask Him to you. So, you must honor men and cultivate habits that attract the gentleness of the heart of men towards you.
- Nobody owes you anything. So, you must be appreciative of every minute thing men do for you.
- Develop a sense of value. A good number of people who are ingrates have low sense of value. Every dollar counts. Every penny counts. Every minute counts. If a man ever thinks so much of you as to give you something, value what is given to you. Remember, they could have thought of someone else. Also, know that gifts given are usually representations of the givers’ heart. So, value their heart by valuing their gift.
