James 4:7 NKJV
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Beloved,
There are states that a believer must never find himself in no matter what. These states are not as powerful as what the devil wants to do with them. Let’s look at three of them.
State of helplessness. A believer should not find himself in this state because help is in the Lord. Access help in His house, from His people, and in His process. There is always help for you in God. People reject help because it doesn’t look like what they think they need or because they think it is slow in coming. Never allow the devil to deceive you that there is no help for you. The Holy Spirit is your helper, he will provide all the help you need to come out of that situation.
State of lack that leads to begging. There is a difference between asking for help and begging. One is dignified while the other is shameful. Don’t wait for lack to push you into begging. Avoid spending your last, Luke 15:14. Famine will not come until a man has spent all. Don’t spend all you have before looking for help.
State of weariness. To be weary is to be mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausted. This can be caused by hard labor, exertion, or strain. To be weary is also to lose enthusiasm for life. Anytime a man is weary, his judgement will be perverted, Genesis 25:29-30. Be sensitive to the gauge that signals to you that you need rest. Don’t let weariness make you a prey to the enemy.
Once the enemy succeeds in getting a believer into any of these states, it becomes easier to bring such a person down. So, whatever you do in the face of life’s challenges, never get to these states.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
