1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Beloved,
God has ordained and set apart some things that are especially for you. The devil would love to cheat you out of your inheritance and leave you lacking, but we serve a God of abundance. Every thing the Father has for us produces or is designed to produce exceeding abundance.
Your expectancy increases your faith and encourages you to take the right posture in His presence – a posture that allows you to receive. But first, let us unpack this truth: you must be able to rightly discern what is yours. This starts with your ears and heart being rightly attuned. Let’s look at some ways to properly discern what God has for you.
First of all, you must know where to look. For example, you must know that what God has for you is already in you. Philemon 1:6 says this:
Philemon 1:6 NLT
And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.
Immediately you give your life to Christ, there are some things that are yours and that are established within you by default. I call it your redemption package. Such include some blessings, authority, protection, gifting, calling, and much more. If you do not take your time to identify what God has already placed inside of you, then you are cheating yourself. Don’t place yourself at a disadvantage as a result of ignorance.
What is yours can also be found in the place of your instruction. Let’s look at this example in scripture:
1 Kings 17:8-9 NLT
Then the Lord said to Elijah, “Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. I have instructed a widow there to feed you.”
Beloved, when you fail to take seriously your place of assignment or any divine assignment and instruction, you are cheating yourself. Imagine if Elijah was emotional about going to the widow. He would miss out on what God had prepared for him and the widow would have missed out as well. We will talk more about this one next time.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
