Psalms 27:1 NKJV
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
Beloved,
Fear is a spiritual mechanism which the devil deploys to hijack men’s thoughts by painting a gloomy picture of negative circumstances until it becomes so real to the victim. It is a spiritual mechanism that can make a believer to become unbelieving. God needs an atmosphere of faith to work, while the devil needs an atmosphere of fear to prevail.
Fear creates an atmosphere that makes it almost impossible for God to intervene in the life of a person. Darkness and ignorance (both physical and spiritual), and the state of the unknown are things that trigger fear in man. Spiritual influence, heightened negative emotions, and past negative experiences are also sources the enemy exploits to introduce fear.
How can you deal with fear? To overcome fear:
- Introduce a superior knowledge against the information that fear is bringing to mind.
- Develop courage to make right choices. When faced with fear, you either forget everything and run or face everything and rise. Choose wisely.
- Recognize who is with you in every confrontation with the devil.
- Know that fearless people are those that face fear with courage.
- Cast out the spirit of fear. Fear itself is a spirit. Do not give fear room. Remember, the Bible says:
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
