Isaiah 43:19 NKJV
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Beloved,
Today, I introduce to us the purpose and power of faith as it pertains to becoming part something bigger and your journey with Christ.
Before you can get anywhere or become anything tangible in life, you must see it first. Years ago, I taught a series entitled, “Man of the Future”. Men of the future see things afar. It is those who can see things afar who can last, especially in these end times. Such people possess supplies of the spirit, that which helps one to be rightly positioned for a glorious future. Faith and revelation are examples of such supplies.
Men of the future are men of faith who have learned God’s word can’t fall to the ground or return void. Such faith levels grant a man the privilege of “seeing” power and the resultant effect of such seeing of power is “knowing” power. This, in turn, lends them “staying” power; that is, the power to wait until they see. The writer of Hebrews tells us about such men in the Hall of Faith:
Hebrews 11:13-16 NKJV
[13] These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [14] For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. [15] And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. [16] But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
Intimacy with the Holy Spirit gives men of the future the advantage of seeing afar. This ability changes our priorities. You won’t return to familiar spirits and the limitations of any comfort outside of Christ if you will trust God’s word enough to see the bigger picture. You are a man of the future when your sight is no longer limited to your past or current limitations. You can see what God is saying and take pleasure in governing your life and daily habits in accordance with the precious promises of His word and the revelation He has given you, like Simeon (Luke 2:25-32). We will talk more about him next time.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
