Beloved,
Don’t be afraid to interject other people’s beliefs. Your belief in Jesus puts a demand on you to be a witness of Him to those who don’t know Him intimately. Besides, beliefs is based on information, but some information can be false, incomplete, or even obsolete. Many people believe many things and their belief is just as real as those of us who believe in Christ Jesus. The question is, what makes belief in Jesus to be superior?
- Jesus is the only deity that created all things yet is Himself not created. (John 1)
- Jesus is the only deity that died, was buried, resurrected, ascended, and is coming back again. (Acts 1)
- Jesus is the only deity that every knee bows to and every tongue confesses as the Lord.
- Jesus is the only deity that is God in the flesh. He walked on the earth as the Son of God and the Son of Man (1 Timothy 3:16).
- Jesus is the only deity who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6)
- Jesus is the only deity who makes His believers children of God.
- Jesus Christ is the only deity that a refusal to believe in Him carries an irredeemable and eternal consequence, John 3:16-18 (AMP).
Your belief in Christ Jesus is not ordinary; it is to your advantage. In the final part of this series, we will further discuss some counsels directly from God’s word about what and how to believe effectively that you might fully enjoy the benefits of being a believer in Christ Jesus.
