I Peter 1:3-5 NKJV
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, [5] who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Beloved,
Last time, we left off discussing how important it is for us to follow the move of God. Know when He moved on to other things. Don’t be sentimental about holding onto or staying with what God has moved away from.
Know also that you may be required to live according to the move that will aid the ongoing move. There is a move that is ongoing, and the instruction of God may be to join yourself to empower an ongoing move. This is where associate ministers come on to the scene. In fact, the involvement of man in God’s program can be broadly categorized into three:
- Witness of Jesus to men: This entails letting others know who God is by way of testimony.
- Reveler of God’s glory: This entails testimony in action, testimony that reveals God’s glory and kingdom in the testifier’s everyday life and work.
- Depopulation of the kingdom of the devil: Souls once ensnared must be translated to the kingdom of God through the deliverance process and with Holy authority that every demon must yield to.
When it comes to enlarging God’s kingdom, that is, winning souls for Christ, the Bible tells us this:
1 Corinthians 3:8-9 NLT
[8] The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. [9] For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.
In other words, we all have a part to play and our parts are critical, though not more important than the work of the Holy Ghost. We must know our role and play it as instructed and supported by the Holy Spirit. We work together like the parts of a body, with Christ as the head, to fulfill God’s eternal plan for mankind.
We have established the three general categories of work men can be called to when it comes to fulfilling God’s glorious mandate for us, no matter the level. Next time we will look at the categories of exactly what we as men can experience while on earth as it pertains to God’s plan for us and our role in it.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
