1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, …
Beloved,
Today, we continue our thought flow on how to guard against demonic pull. After identifying the demonic pull and its strength vis-à-vis your strength, you need to develop your strength. You need to develop your strength to stand against the wiles of the devil and sinners’ enticement which – as we said last time – are sure to come.
You also need strength to say no and stand by it. This means that you must develop strength to be unmovable. Being unmovable in this context does not mean that you are stubborn, it means that you take a righteous decision under God and stand by it. For you to be unmovable under God, you must have settled some issues and proffered answers to some life questions before the devil comes with his lies. You must choose the truth of God’s word over every matter and refuse to be convinced otherwise.
After developing strength, you must be ready to fight. Fight every word, thought, and action that want to pull you down with the word of God. Bring them all into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5.
Finally, as we round off this series, you need to create a supportive environment for yourself. Join yourself to the right chariot. Like that piece of iron we talked about in the initial post of this series, it matters a lot who is around to pull it away from the magnet. Who do you have around that will ensure the devil does not pull you down?
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
