DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Joshua 1:6

Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Confidence is highly essential in taking any mountain in life. In the beginning of Joshua’s ministry, he was admonished to be bold and to be of good courage. The power of confidence cannot be underestimated. The power of confidence is needed for possibilities. Though the scripture talks about it and we seem to know the importance of confidence, many Christians continue to live as cowards. Do not be deceived to think that every Christian is confident. It does not matter what life tools (wisdom, money, power, position) a man has, if he lacks confidence, he will still be limited.
Without confidence, the devil will cheat you. Do not be deceived, power is not synonymous to confidence. Confidence is a state of feeling certain about a thing. As a Christian, you must have your confidence in God. You must be confident that God is real, and He will come through for you. We need to stop playing church and start acting with a certainty that our God exists.

Finally, your confidence is your reality. The proof that something is real to you is the confidence you have in it. No matter how much you desire something, if you do not develop the confidence to take it, you may never have it. Your confidence may be more important than your knowledge. In the secular world, employers prefer to invest in an employee who knows little but have confidence than in someone who knows so much but lacks confidence. Endeavor to build your confidence in order to keep rising no matter what life throws at you.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
