Colossians 1:16-18
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the pre-eminence.
Beloved,
After Jesus died, he became the first born from the dead thereby giving him the pre-eminence in all things and this is the mystery that makes partaking in the divine nature accessible. If Jesus wasn’t the firstborn from the dead, he would not be able to be the Lord of all and the reason for His Lordship is that we need Him to prototype what God can do for us.
The same way if you happen to live in a third world country and a close relative of yours has an opportunity to travel to a developed country ahead of you, their very presence in that place should provide a smooth transition for you when it comes to your own turn to make that trip. Jesus is the prototype of everything that we can enjoy in the kingdom.
While He was on the earth, Jesus walked as the Son of God and the Son of man. Whatever He enjoyed on the earth as the Son of man, we also can enjoy it; we can tap into it because He is the firstborn. This knowledge is important because it is critical to what you can believe the Lord for.
He walked on water as the Son of man, this prototype made it possible for Peter to be able to do the same. He was hungry yet was able to minister to the woman at the well, it means we also can receive supernatural strength to do what we need to do in life.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
