Luke 4:18 NKJV
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
Beloved,
Some of us do certain things and afterwards we ask, what came upon me to have behaved that way. There is the reality of spirits coming on men, negative and positive, to influence them to behave a certain way. When the Spirit of the Lord is upon a person, such a person will do extraordinarily good things.
The Spirit of the Lord upon you is the anointing of your destiny and calling. It largely determines your functionality as it lines up with God’s will. When the Spirit is upon you:
- It will compel you to do some strange but divine things that are beyond human control and effort, Judges 13:24-25
- You will start having supernatural results, Judges 14.
- A change will happen, Isaiah 32:15 TPT.
- It gives you direction, Luke 2:25-27
Whike the Lord can use anyone for His glory, there are some factors that determine the Holy Spirit coming upon you:
- Your heart must be right, 1 Samuel 16:13.
- Your environment will determine or influence His visit, 1 Samuel 10:5-6.
- Your calling is an invitation to partner with the Holy Spirit.
- Your assignment will pull His grace and anointing to your side, Numbers 11:17, 25-27.
- The fullness of time to take action, Judges 6:34.
- Your words that forms your expectations will compel the Holy Spirit to move on your behalf, Ezekiel 20:32
- The entrance of God’s word into your heart, Acts 10:44.
Beloved, you cannot afford to go through life without the help of the Holy Spirit. Daily ask Him to come upon you and take you over. Seek Him for help and assistance in all your affairs.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
