Isaiah 40:31 NLT
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Beloved,
As we round off this series, I reiterate what has been said thus far. Chickens flock; eagles soar. Soar like an eagle. To soar, you must have purposed to be someone who has a lasting relevance in your territory.
Be like Rahab who dared to defy the King of Jericho by siding with the people of covenant. Her decision ended up saving her life and that of her family, and she later became an ancestress of Jesus.
Be like Daniel, who distinguished himself in a foreign land. He refused to compromise his faith in God in the face of immense pressure.
Be like Mary who said “yes” to the will of God to carry the pregnancy of Jesus. She bore the ridicule of others to fulfill divine mandate and she is forever recorded in history as the mother of Jesus.
Be like Elisha who abandoned all to answer the divine call. He did not allow his success in business to prevent him from fulfilling his prophetic mandate.
There is a call to something greater. Give no more of your time to frivolous activities. Identify frivolity in your life and cut it off. Get rid of excesses. Stop seeking for approval and validation from people. Settle to walk alone if that is what it takes.
You will not have access to the greater if you don’t give your life to Jesus. Even if it appears that way for unbelievers, it won’t last because their future is not sure or secure. But if your anchor is in Christ Jesus then you have the confidence to do your part knowing that God will be committed to doing His.
Going forward, you should make some decisions:
• Decide to be greater. Don’t settle for the status quo.
• Decide to be all that God wants you to be.
• Know your call and follow it.
• Don’t allow anyone to limit you.
You are called by God for glory and beauty, Exodus 28:40. Live as an eagle in whatever field you are called to. Stop flocking; start soaring.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
