John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Beloved,
Last time, we established that Jesus is the Way for every believer. Jesus shows us the way to live. He is also the only Way to live eternally. Jesus is both our High Priest and the embodiment of what God truly desires for us. God wants to do more than just meet our needs. He desires that we take our rightful place as joint-heirs with His Son. But as we said earlier on in this series, we must choose His way of life. Let us look at the core characteristics of God’s way of life:
- His way is righteousness. True success in life is a byproduct of a righteous process.
Psalms 11:7 GW
The Lord is righteous. He loves a righteous way of life. Decent people will see his face.
- His way leads to life. God is life. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. The Holy Spirit is the Breath of life. In other words, when we live God’s way, the righteous way, it not only leads to eternal life, it also brings back to life anything the devil, in his rage and disdain for mankind has stolen, perverted, or destroyed. And by default, righteous living will always give birth to righteous works. Everything a righteous man touches enjoys the breath of God.
Proverbs 12:28 NLT
The way of the godly leads to life; that path does not lead to death.
- His way is straight. God does not waste your time. Beloved, there is purpose in every step God allows you to take. Let Him lead you. Follow the path He has set before you rather than follow another man’s race.
Isaiah 26:7 AMPC
[7] The way of the [consistently] righteous (those living in moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relationship of their lives) is level and straight; You, O [Lord], Who are upright, direct aright and make level the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous.
Next time, we will look at more features of a godly way.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
