Matthew 1:24-25 NKJV
Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, [25] and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.
Beloved,
You must know when your right is not your right. At the moment when Joseph brought Mary in as his wife, he had the right to intimacy with her, but he knew that that right was not his at that season of their lives. The pursuit of God’s will for their lives demands they stay away from such for that moment.
As we continue living our lives, it is imperative we take time to find out God’s demands over lives and no matter how much it seems to conflict with what we know to be our right, we must yield it to God’s will.
Yes, it may be your right to get angry with your spouse but you must know when God places a demand and you have to let go. You must know when your right to buy another car is not your right because God has placed a demand on it. This list goes on and on.
I pray for you that you are always able to discern when what is your right is no more you right.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
