DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

II Peter 3:18 NKJV‬
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Beloved,

It is time for us to grow into maturity in our Father’s house. We established the last time, that in order to look more like Jesus, we must grow in wisdom, stature, grace, and favor. We must also mature into partnering and taking over the legacy of God. How will this be achieved?

  • We must have an improved attitude to responsibility. Read Galatians 4:1-7. These verses tell us what the right attitude to responsibility looks like. According to the scriptures, right attitude is indicated by the following:

A. Development of leadership and management traits.
B. Time management skills.
C. Development of rightness, right attitude, right use of yes and no, and development of your will.
D. Identifying a need and rising to the task.

  • We must also have the right attitude. What is that attitude? It is the attitude to truth, 2 Peter 1:12 GNT says this:

2 Peter 1:12 GNT
And so I will always remind you of these matters, even though you already know them and are firmly grounded in the truth you have received.

  • Next, let us look at balance. Balance is a clear sign of maturity. The Bible says this:

Philippians 4:12 GNT
I know what it is to be we in need and what it is to have more than enough. I have learned this secret, so that anywhere, at any time, I am content, whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little.

We will look at four more indicators next time.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
