Beloved,
If you consider yourself a kingdom citizen, growth is not an option. Let us continue to uncover what growth in Jesus looks like:
- Decrease of involvement in frivolity and increase of involvement in seriousness of life. There is a point in time where we must put away childish things (1 Corinthians 13:11).
- Put formation and structure to life. There is freedom in restriction. You must put up boundaries and have clear principles, values and standards. Have formation and structure of:
a. Character
b. Vision + Clarity of steps
c. Right heart
d. Christ
- Develop your ability to overcome:
I John 2:13-14 NKJV
[13] I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father. [14] I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one.
- Develop your understanding. The Bible says this:
I Corinthians 14:20 NKJV
Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.
- Finally, you must have the ability to accept sound doctrine. When you can hear better, you can do better, and it is a clear indicator of your continued growth in Christ Jesus.
