DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

II Peter 3:18 NKJV‬
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Beloved,
Understand the grace God has made available to you and grow in its usage. It begins by having a clear understanding about how grace works. Beloved, to grow in grace is a command as seen in our opening scripture.

The Bible says,

Psalms 145:9 MSG
God is good to one and all; everything he does is soaked through with grace.

Act 20:32 tells us this:

The Bible also says,

Acts 20:32 NKJV
“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Grace builds up a man and gives him an inheritance (1 Peter 5:10). Grace has dimensions. This is what gives us a reason to talk to God about our problems and to know that we need others to succeed in life. Identify your grace and what you don’t have and go to God in prayer to supply all that is lacking. Grace is a divine contribution to your life that makes you special. It is an identifying mark. It is added to your life to grant you results. This is what makes you God’s child.

The devil cheats people by making them to ignore or downplay their strength while focusing on someone else who seem to be better than them. This is because he does not want them utilizing their grace in any way.

Grace is a lubricant. It is what makes life easy for a believer to live. When you have struggle and stress, it is signifying that either you are out of grace or underutilizing grace. The limitation of grace in one’s life will also reveal what you have not taken responsibility for.

God is the God of all grace. This gives the assurance that He will surely supply whatever grace is lacking in your life.
Also grace and knowledge (understanding and personal responsibility) work together. Imbalance will be the result when you focus on one at the expense of the other.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
