Ezra 10:4 NKJV
Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage, and do it.”
Beloved,
Today we will continue to look at factors that influence the actions of men. It is important to know why you do what you do and what influences your actions, choices, and decisions.
Inspiration. This is when God gives you the anointing to do something creative or to provide answers to difficult questions.
Demonic pull.
I Chronicles 21:1 NKJV
Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.
Satan stirred David’s heart to do what would announce to all who saw that his trust was in his own rationale and in the power of men rather than the instructions and sovereignty of God. One misstep in the devil’s direction rendered a consequence of suffering for the entire nation of Israel.
God’s instructions. We just read of the consequences that came about as a result of David’s disobedience to God’s instruction. Ideally, it’s His instructions that should serve as our life’s guide. It enforces His will and our alignment with it and its glorious benefits. As it did for Abraham in in Genesis 12:1-4, His instructions help us to take the right steps in life. Make it easy for yourself to adjust to God’s instructions.
Resources. The Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-13 made some poor choices because he had too much money in his hands. The same thing happened with the rich fool in Luke 12:16-18. Some people don’t know the extent of what they could do or suddenly stop doing, until resources come into their hands.
Goals. Having the right goals in mind, goals you can clearly see and plan to achieve, makes it is easier to take the steps required to attain them.
Covenant. Finally for today, let us review this scripture:
Job 31:1 NKJV
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman?
Job made a vow or a covenant with himself and his eyes that he will never look lustfully upon a woman. Covenant is composed of terms and conditions that produce or substantiate a relationship. Every covenant requires compliance, investment and a commitment. It impacts your identity, decisions and priorities. Who or what are you in covenant with? How is it working for you? How are you working the covenant?
Beloved, the consciousness you carry concerning elements such as covenant, godly instruction, demonic influence, and the like will determine the advantage you carry. There are still a few more we will take our time to unpack. It is my prayer that you will take every step in the right direction. Take your time to reflect on the influences we have acknowledged thus far and be sincere with yourself to determine what are, have been, and should be your motivations in life, so that you can make the proper adjustments and win.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
