Lamentations 3:58 NKJV
O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life.
Beloved,
Redemption refers supremely to the work of Christ on our behalf where He purchased and ransomed us at the cost of His own life, securing our deliverance from the bondage and condemnation of sin. Let’s look at the stages of redemption:
The first stage involves the forgiveness of our sins and our empowerment and decision to exercise victory over the power of sin. The Blood of Jesus can never lose its power. It is at work for those who choose to receive it forever on this side of eternity. Once we give our life to Christ Our God like nature is redeemed. We become like Jesus.
Sin is a wicked slave master; God has given His children the authority to overpower it.
Ephesians 1:7-8
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself.”
This leads us to the next phase of redemption- which is what I like to call the “Exchange” phase.
2 Corinthians 5:21
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
The next phase we must give attention to is the “transformation” phase. If we will enjoy the glorious gift of salvation- not just at the time of giving our life to Him, but daily we must renew our soul and mind from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Job 33:38). True salvation begins when we begin to enjoy His Word, instructions and revelations. This begins with us enjoying fellowship with His Presence and His Word. As you read His Word, everything that is noncompliant leaves, and is replaced by that which is designed to edify your life and soul. Don’t remain in a church where all they do is to entertain your flesh.
Beloved,
God is merciful. He will not give you what you cannot handle. Let Him redeem you from everything reduces you I life and destiny.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
