DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

Matthew 13:23 NKJV
But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Beloved,
In the first letter of this series, we established the power of knowing what motivates you and harnessing it in order to maximize your potential and achieve your goals. Motivation is a critical driver of behavior and our pursuits in life because our motivations influence everything from how we select our goals to our sustained efforts in doing the needful to achieve them.

In this letter, we will look at seed power as a driving force. When we think of seed, we typically think of what we have to sow. We assume the power is in how much seed and the type of seed we have to invest with. However, as the word of God tells us, we must establish this following truth: One who will raise a viable seed must be viable himself (Genesis 1:12).

You will agree with me that you can’t demand from your children what you’re not doing, being, or becoming yourself, right? One of the things we must be is determined. Determination can only be activated by the understanding you have about your person, your purpose and the possibilities before you as God’s child.

Seed, itself looks small, but a foreknowledge of what that seed can produce will provide motivation to do what it takes to plant, cultivate, and protect it. If a wise person will do this for a viable seed, don’t do lesser for yourself. Beloved, make a decision to be a viable seed. That is, one who can be planted and reproduced for kingdom purpose. How will you know that you are viable seed? It starts with you taking your time to understand the benefits and requirements of being a child of God and governing yourself and motivations accordingly.

As a child of God, you must be motivated by your ability to be fruitful and multiply. You must look like the One who plants and establishes you. You must also be someone who can produce kingdom results. The Bible says:

Matthew 7:16-20 KJV
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. [19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Beloved, what is distinguishable about you? Do you look like your Heavenly Father? Can people see you and know you are not ordinary? Will people meet you and meet solutions? Do you have what is transferable? Can God use you to replicate His standard on the earth? We will talk more about what it means to be a viable seed next time.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
