Proverbs 17:3 | The Passion Translation
In the same way that gold and silver are refined by fire, the Lord purifies your heart by the tests and trials of life.
Malachi 3:3
He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.
Beloved,
The refining process of your destiny starts when you accept and allow the working of God in your life as your Lord. The entry point of God’s involvement in our lives is at salvation when we accept Christ as our Savior. At this point, we enjoy the fatherhood of God as the One that provides, preserves and accepts us the way we are. However, His involvement in our lives should not end there. He expects His relationship with us to go deeper. He wants to go further with us by being the Lord of our lives. It is at this level that we enjoy the fatherhood of God as the One that disciplines, corrects, and trains us in the direction of our calling in life as He invites us to become involved in what He is doing on the earth.
A lot of believers only have Jesus as their Savior and not as their Lord, and this puts a limitation on how much God can work with them. His desire is not just to be your Savior, He must be your Lord. We are moving to the days when receiving Jesus as your Savior will be useless if you will not be willing to receive Him as your Lord.
When He becomes your Lord, then He becomes your Refiner. He detects and identifies the debris to be removed and designs the refining process you have to go through.
Remember, He must not just be your Savior, He must be your Lord.
