Proverbs 31:10
“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.”
Beloved,
Women are critical to God’s agenda. Made in the glorious image of God, women are called to be fruitful, multiply and to have dominion. The only way a woman can fulfill her God-given mandate on this side of eternity is by following the pattern that has been set before them. The last time we used Rebecca as an example of a woman after God’s own heart. She carried the Holy Spirit as indicated by her attunement with the will and ways of the Lord and her sensitivity to His prompting.
The devil loves to pervert and confuse people- especially as it pertains to their identity and ability. Dear women, don’t let the devil deceive and pervert things for you as he did with Eve. Yes, God made Adam first. But in His wisdom:
Genesis 1:18
“The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him”
Dear woman, you have purpose, and you have capacity. To prove it, scripture tells us this:
Genesis 1:27-28
“…So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’”
A well-rounded woman understands adamic mandate. She understands her post, position and posture as it pertains to being a child of God, joint heir with Christ and, if married, a help- meet to her husband while on this side of eternity. She does not see herself as lesser than as it pertains to her Adamic mandate. The devil will do all in his power to make a woman think she is lesser so that she can be searching for fulfillment in all the wrong places. Satan will tell a woman, “Remember, you are the weaker vessel anyway” in attempts to make her feel unqualified to fulfill her God-ordained assignments on earth. What scripture actually says is this:
1 Peter 3:7
“Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.”
In other words, the scripture is admonishing men to honor you and the post and position He has formed you to play in their lives and in His kingdom on this side of eternity. You are an heir, together, with men because you are competent to be so. You are equal in grace and significance, made in the image of God and loved by Him equally.
Dear woman, if you are in Christ, you have capacity! You have the gift of His sweet, Holy Spirit as Helper living inside you! So, be excellent at home, at work and as it pertains to the things of God. Don’t expect men or even God to do things for you that you are capable of doing yourself. Do not make yourself vulnerable to the devil’s attack by living an idle life. Do not overwork and overwhelm yourself with toiling and wrong attitude towards the assignments and opportunities God has entrusted into your care. Carry the mind of Christ. Carry His Holy Spirit and do the work God has called you to by His grace. Be well rounded. Do not let the devil deceive you into a limited life.
