Proverbs 31:10
“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.”
Beloved,
A well-rounded woman is a spiritual woman. She is prays, knows God’s word, and hears from Him. She knows His presence, which invariably allows her to know His prompting. The story of Rebecca in the book of Genesis 24:16-23 is evidence of this. Clearly, she was attuned with the Holy Spirit. We see in the scripture how she yielded to His prompting. Her actions were fully aligned with the prayer of Eliazer, the godly servant of Abraham.
A well rounded woman is a balanced woman. She is approachable, not suspicious or overly guarded, yet she is far from loose as she maintains a structured life with principles, right priorities and a firm foundation. Such a life allows her to hear God clearly. She has not exalted other voices or flows. She has remained pure, allowing the Holy Spirit to be at work with her and in her, gracing her to say and see that which will be an advantage, and profitable and that which will advance God’s plans on the earth.
Such a woman is not limited to external beauty, alone. She places high value on inward beauty because she knows, by revelation, that inner beauty is worth much more than the exterior beauty. Outside beauty without inner beauty attracts wrong people who are attracted by external looks. It also ends with time whereas inward beauty yields eternal results.
Women and young women coming of age, take your time to study Rebecca’s story. May your story reflect the beauty and sensitivity of the sweet Holy Spirit. May you choose not to limit yourself to priorities and activities that bare no weight in your generation talk less of generations to come. May you choose to live a life of balance- one that is filled with the Spirit of God, sensitive to His word and will and ready to carry out his instructions at any given time.
We will study a bit more as it pertains to the well-rounded woman as a kingdom force to be reckoned with next time. Until then,
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
