Isaiah 1:19-20
“If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Beloved,
We are still on the topic of our covenant with Christ Jesus, the True and Living Word and where you must place emphasis on if you will enjoy and retain the glorious benefits of keeping covenant with Him. As we have established, covenant comes with conditions. It’s standard. Jesus is faithful. In fact, He, Himself is the covenant. The only question remaining is will you do the needful to keep your covenant relationship with Him in tact?
As we have established there are some things in life we must be ready to place emphasis on in order to enjoy all of the benefits that come with living a covenant compliant life. One of the things we must place strong emphasis on is our divine alignment with light. It is not a coincidence that in all creation, the first thing God spoke into existence was light (Genesis 1:2). Prophet Isaiah gives us this account of revelation also:
Isaiah 9:2
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them light has shone.”
The devil comes with all forms of alternatives. These demonic alternatives will always appear sweet at first glance, through natural, blinded eyes. The truth is that every demonically arranged alternative to what God has prepared for you ends, inevitably, in danger, loss and tragedy. Satan wants you blind and blind-sighted to the truth that everything God has planned for you is greater and better and a threat to his kingdom of darkness. He loves the darkness because where we cannot see spiritually, there is a greater chance of our emotions or flesh taking over to help us make critical decisions in life so that you can lose with him instead of winning with Jesus.
Beloved, beware of the devils alternatives. When you allow your emotions and fleshly desires or fears to override your spirit man, you are more likely to go for the satanic alternative. Keeping secrets with Satan will assuredly keep you in darkness. Ask Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5). Rather, choose to take the route of covenant. It is pre-packaged with the light of Christ that leads you in the way you should go. This light also leads to healing, forgiveness of sins instructions and grace to obey. It exposes the enemy and let’s you partner with the Holy Ghost as you move forward in life and destiny.
