Genesis 18:17 NKJV
“And the LORD said, ‘Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him?”
Beloved,
We serve a great God, and our lives must be governed accordingly. The law of greatness is applicable to the manifestation of our God ordained destines- that is the thing God decided, ahead of time we must accomplish on the earth. Yesterday’s Daily Plug establishes for us that every destiny fulfilled shares the following commonalities:
- They reflect and draw men to God’s greatness and glory.
- They are can only be expressed in the life of every man through faith and action and in partnership with the Holy Ghost
Today, let us look at the second characteristic of a great destiny fulfilled as we look at the place of great faith in the life of a man.
“…For assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you’”. -Matthew 17:20b
Mustard seed faith is less about smallness of the seed and more about the capacity of it. Yes, the mustard seed is small. The only way to know its greatness is when you have seen what it can do. Then, you will be motivated to take all the steps that indicate you know the value of what it carries and what it can do for you. That’s how you put your faith to work.
Not long ago, I challenged my members to begin to say who they are and what they must have in Christ. In Matthew 8, we enjoy the story of a Roman officer who did the same. He understood authority, so he exercised it with faith that Jesus was all authority and could speak the word that would heal his servant.
Faith is essential for greatness, as it lays the foundation for miracles. The Bible guides us to reflect God’s glory through the bold, consistent declaration of His Word, aligning our thoughts and actions with His truth to impact our lives and others. Beloved, I implore you- nurture this divine inheritance with all diligence.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
