Genesis 18:17 NKJV
“And the LORD said, ‘Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him?”
Beloved,
“And the LORD said, ‘Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him?” – Genesis 18:17
Faith is essential for greatness, as it lays the foundation for miracles. We must nurture this divine inheritance with diligence. Please note, however, that Satan can counterfeit God’s gifts- including inherited ones like that of greatness. All the more reason we must be diligent in developing our and governing our lives in accordance with the principles of greatness anchored in Christ’s truth.
One of the most overlooked yet integral laws of greatness is the respect for small beginnings. Jesus Himself highlighted this principle in the parable of the mustard seed (Matthew 13:31-32), where He likened the Kingdom of Heaven to the smallest of seeds that grows into the largest of trees. Similarly, in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-21), the faithful stewards multiplied what they were given and were rewarded with greater responsibility.
The respect you show for small things determines the magnitude of what you will be entrusted with. Ignoring or dismissing what appears to be insignificant is a disservice to the process of growth. What you don’t sow into will never yield a harvest. As Christians, we are called to be diligent and intentional, even in the smallest acts, for they pave the way for God’s greater plans.
One warning I gave my members is this one: When someone asks you what you are doing, never say, “I’m doing nothing.”
Beloved, every moment is an opportunity to sow a seed in the direction of greatness. Whether it’s through prayer, service, generosity, or learning, your small, consistent actions accumulate into a greater testimony of God’s work in your life.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
