Genesis 18:17 NKJV
“And the LORD said, ‘Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him?”
Beloved,
Beloved, greatness is not achieved in isolation; it thrives in the context of relationships and opportunities. Ask God for two things from greatness: right relationships and right opportunities. I pray you will enjoy the grace to service both correctly and by the leading of God’s Word and His Spirit that is within you.
Relationships provide you with mentors, guides, and companions who help you navigate the complexities of life. Opportunities, on the other hand, allow you to apply what you have learned and stretch your faith. Together, these two elements create a system that buffers failure and propels you toward your God-ordained destiny.
When God created you, He did so in His very own likeness and image (Genesis 1:26). This was not by accident. Take your time to know the great God of your salvation so you can know yourself. You have a destiny to fulfill, and you will have to answer to heaven concerning its fulfillment.
The story of the children of Israel comes to mind- remember when some of them got too comfortable where they were to possess the land God made available to them (Deuteronomy 12)? Have the right relationship with God. You’ll know you are in right relationship when you are able to heed His instructions and trust Him over your feelings or convenience. Failure to pursue greatness in accordance with God’s will puts you at risk of demonic attack. Satan does not want to you to know who you are or get what God has for you. It’s a threat to him.
I want to round off this series by encouraging you not to settle for the ways of the world or the convenience of your feelings and flesh. Stop seeing greatness as an elusive dream. It is your divine inheritance and its available for you now. Its only waiting to be nurtured by your faith, obedience and intimate relationship and partnership with the Holy Spirit. By recognizing greatness as a gift, respecting the small beginnings of life, and sowing seeds in its direction, you step into the fullness of God’s purpose for your life. Let us walk boldly in faith, stewarding our inheritance and reflecting His glory and greatness in all we do.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
