Genesis 18:17 NKJV
“And the LORD said, ‘Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him?”
Beloved,
Greatness is a process. There is nothing that is great –great meaning leaving a lasting impact– that does not have a process attached to it. Like every process, greatness has a starting point. The starting point for greatness as far as the Kingdom of God is concerned, is sowing. Hence, Jesus tens to reference seed whenever he teaches about the Kingdom of God.
The law of greatness is about sowing intentional seeds in the direction of greatness. What you plant today will determine the fruit you harvest tomorrow. Let’s look at some seed you must be ready to sow if you will walk in greatness:
- Honor
- Time
- Talent
- Resources
- Service
These are just a few. The Bible calls us to honor greatness, whether it is found in His Word, through His servants and others sent especially to you by Him and in our response to every God-sent opportunity. Elisha took full advantage of the privilege of serving Elijah whereas Gehazi was content to remain small, limiting his reward to small money that could never measure up to the privilege of carrying what his master and his master’s master carried (2 Kings 5:20-27).
Serving greatness is not about seeking personal gain; it’s about humbly aligning yourself with God’s purpose, learning from those who embody greatness, and allowing their wisdom to shape your journey.
Additionally, interacting with greatness means immersing yourself in learning, meditation, and reflection. Spend time meditating on God’s Word, for it is the ultimate source of greatness. Observe the lives of those who walk in God’s greatness and glean wisdom from their experiences.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
