Mark 15:3-5
3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. 4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things [a]they testify against You!” 5 But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.
Beloved,
One major aspect of your life that you must consciously gain mastery over is in the area of your words. On most part, if the devil cannot get you with your words, he will not prevail to destroy your destiny. The scripture above is telling the story of how Jesus was accused for what He did not do and how he deliberately refused to react or defend Himself.
There would be time when people would get you into conversation, not because they want to have your candid opinion about a matter, but because they just want to get you into trouble. You must be able to discern such a time and ensure you keep quiet. You must know when you answer a fool according to His folly and when to just keep mute (Proverbs 26:4-5).
Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 specifically instructs us that we should let our words be few. So, as you step into this day, I encourage you to watch your steps and be sensitive to people that talk sarcastically whose motive is to get you into trouble and ensure that no matter what they do to get you angry you will not let them have an occasion to get you at your word.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
