Luke 19:5
And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”
Beloved,
While a righteous man may not need to make haste to make a lot decisions, some requires haste. Jesus spoke to Zacchaeus to make haste to receive his salvation. No one should waste time in receiving salvation. No additional minute should be spent serving the devil or pleasing self, once one encounters the light.
I want to challenge you to identify the area where you need to make haste and address such immediately. Welcome the voice of God and respond accordingly. Stop procrastinating. Rather, yield to divine beckon. You need to make haste to:
- Accept Jesus as your savior and Lord.
- Stop every wrong or self-glorifying pursuit.
- Recognize the assignments of your destiny and pursue them.
Zacchaeus could have been distracted by the crowd. He could have tried to use the opportunity of catching Jesus’ attention to gain the applause and recognition of men since he was a tax collector. However, he saw beyond the moment. He embraced the future rather than the present. I encourage you to make haste to do the same.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
