Ephesians 5:15,17 | NLT
[15] So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. [17] Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Beloved,
Recently, my attention was drawn to how I start my car. If you drive a car with automatic transmission, you will observe that you have to step on your brake pedal before you can put on or start the car. In my meditation as a follow up to this observation, I realize that if we can apply this principle to our lives, our lives will be free of many errors.
If we can apply a brake before saying the next word we want to say, apply the brake of caution before taking that next step, apply the brake of patience before finally giving up, our lives will definitely be free of many mistakes.
When you see an elderly person that is regretting their early years; the regret is because of the avoidable mistakes they made, not because of those ones they could not steer clear of. If you do not want to have many regrets in the latter years of your life, learn to apply brakes.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
