…That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.

Prayer is not optional for believers. Everyone who believes in a god prays to him. And whatever we see those that do not believe in Christ do is an adulterated version of what the kingdom offers.
A lot of believers have left the place of prayers for many reasons, including the following:
- Lack of encounter with the true God that answers prayers
- Disappointment from supposed unanswered prayers
- Building one’s prayer life around needs alone
- Laziness
- Busyness
- Comfort and convenience
- Inability to see a need to pray
- A feeling of self sufficiency
- Practices of giving prayer contracts out to specific people
- Thinking that God answers the prayers of some people more than the others
The list goes on and on. The truth is that whatever reason you have for not praying, is not good enough. No matter what you call your reason, prayerlessness is an act of pride. It is an attitude that tells God that you’re self sufficient and you do not need Him. When God has that kind of feeling about a man, it shuts down a dimension of God’s disposition towards such man.
It’s time to get back to the Place of prayer.
