All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
Beloved,
The condition of your mind may affect what you receive from the word of God. Though the word is sharp and powerful, we may limit its potency. To benefit from the word, you must have an open mind. And ultimately, you must allow the Holy Spirit to help you profit with the word.
When last did you get a rebuke from the word? If you cannot remember, is it because you are perfect or because you are picking and choosing what the word of God will do in your life? It is wisdom to allow the word of God to profit you in its entirety.
Do not exonerate yourself from rebuke, rather submit yourself to be corrected by God. You will escape the destruction that the enemy intends in the future only if you are corrected now.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
