All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
Beloved,
Beware of men. While men mean no harm, their presentation may be deceitful. Men specialize in putting up a front in order to impress. They go an extra mile to give the best first impression. I believe that this is necessary since they do not have what it takes to guarantee tomorrow.
On the contrary, God does not have to give His best first. He has no reason to impress anyone since He is perfect. He is all powerful and able to improve on any situation. Hence, we must expect more from God. God gives the best last. This is not because He hides it, but because we are usually not ready. We receive and do better once we allow Him to help us. No wonder the Bible says that the path of the righteous shineth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.
Do not let your experience with men limit your expectations from God. There is always a brighter future in God if you do not give up. In the above scripture, even though Jesus was not ready to announce Himself, the miracle was enough to do that. Jesus could not help it. His wine must be better. There was no way He could do less. He could not have provided a worse wine. Similarly, your life can only get better and better if you surrender your all to Him.
