Acts 3:6 ESV
But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”
Beloved,
In our series on the power sources for deliverance, we have considered three sources: blessing, genuine salvation, and the word of God. Today we will continue the series by looking at another source: the name of Jesus.
If you have not done so already, take a look at the scripture above. Just like that, a man bound since his birth was delivered and set free. There is power in the name of Jesus. Keep this in mind for yourself and others as we continue on in life.
As the song rightly states, “There is power in the name of Jesus”. His name is a strong tower because no devil in hell can contend with it. His name keeps you safe and per adventure you fall, call His name and He will rescue you. We know His name as a fortress and as a strong tower. We must also know it as a source of deliverance. When you call His name, He answers.
Before we round off today, I want to give you a brotherly counsel. The time of crises is not the time to try to save yourself; you need help. Call upon the name of the Lord. Remember that at the height of battle, you can only depend on the weapons you have been comfortable using over time. Get comfortable calling on the name of Jesus and be assured He will answer you.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
