Genesis 2:18-20
18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
Beloved,
You know your child is maturing when you can send him or her an errand and be sure of a safe and an effective execution of the task. The same is applicable in God’s kingdom. God does not consider you a serious son of His (though He loves you), until you learn to embrace and carry out the assignments He gives you just as He desires.
Have you embraced your God given assignment? God gave Adam the divine assignment to name the animals, why? Do you think it was because He needed Adams help naming them? No! Embedded in that assignment was the opportunity for Adam toget his helpmate. If he rejected the assignment or did it half-heartedly, he wouldn’t be sensitive to what God designed for him in marriage.
What has God assigned you to do? Get it done and do it with your whole heart. There is a blessing in that work just for you.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
