Colossians 2:13 NLT
“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.”
Beloved,
Every earthly vessel, no matter how great or dynamic, is limited. It is only that which is spiritual that has the power to override natural laws. It is only the Spirit of God that has immeasurable capacity. If we, mere mortals, thanks to the endless and overriding love of Christ can exchange our spirit to carry His Greater Spirit, then God has done something that allows our earthly body’s to be subject to another kind of law, one without limits. Beloved, if you understand the manner of spirit you carry as a child of God, there are many things you would never permit to affect you. Whenever the natural law is not working for you with respect to living the life God has ordained for you, remember:
John 4:4
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
God in you means, there are things you have access to that give you an advantage- like the future, God’s Word and covenant activated and enacted in your life. It means you are privileged to enjoy the supplies of the Spirit and that you are subject to another set of laws- supernatural ones:
Romans 8:2
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
When you enjoy His Spirit at work in you, there are some things you are divinely exempted from. There are also so many things you can do that a man could not do ordinarily. Your very character is no longer ordinary. We will talk more on character and How the Holy Spirit will transform it next time. Until then,
