Charting the Path of Destiny III
Proverbs 20:24, TPT
It is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life,
then, remains a mystery!
Beloved,
We are here for a witness; to bear witness to the person and the power of Jesus, John 1:6-8, Luke 1:13-15. So was John the Baptist. His purpose on the earth was to amplify the light of Jesus; that was his destiny. It is possible for a person to achieve so much but not scratch the surface of their destiny.
There are believers who are clueless about their destiny. However, there are also believers who have an idea about their destiny but are doing nothing to fulfill it. God created you; He created your destiny in advance, and He created the paths you must take to get to your destination. Let’s consider some truths that you must know about destiny:
– Destiny is the end that a man was born to accomplish on this side of the eternity. It is the cause a man is born to live for.
– You don’t choose your destiny, God does.
– When destiny is not duly pursued, the devil has an opportunity to pervert it.
– Pursuit of destiny is completely different from the pursuit of happiness or satisfaction in life.
Since destiny is so fundamental and the reason for our existence, it is essential as a believer to be destiny-conscious, John 9:4, 18:37. In fact it is dangerous for the enemy to become aware of your destiny before you do. If that happens, he will negotiate it for a price you won’t mind paying. As parents, if your child gets to the age when they start thirsting for independence and freedom before they become aware of their destiny, you are failing at your duty post.
The Bible says in Romans 5 that by the decision of one man, the entire human race became doomed. So also, by the decision of another man, the entire human race was delivered. Beloved, you cannot afford to live your life recklessly or make decisions that will negatively affect generations to come. Your awareness of and alignment with destiny will make you avoid this error.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
